An advisory board of senior female leaders from across the university system helped design EOD’s first Conference for Women in Leadership and more than one hundred participants attended.
UT employees interested in advancing their skills in customer service are invited to complete the Employee and Organizational Development Customer Service Certification. The prerequisite course, Customer Service 101, will be offered on Tuesday, July 17, and Thursday, October 25. The courses are free.
The newest issue of Employee and Organizational Development’s employee course catalog “Training Pages” is now available online with course listings for July through December. Registration is now open for many classes. Employees interested in a variety of supervisory, management, and personal development classes can take advantage of this service by viewing the catalog online.
Formal performance reviews should be done annually. Employee and Organizational Development is offering a performance review training course to supervisors to learn how to conduct an effective performance reviews. The course will be offered many times between January and March. Supervisors only need to attend one session.

The 2011 Office Professionals Super Seminar is scheduled for Thursday, October 20. This all-day conference features discussions and presentations aimed at helping UT employees succeed in today’s fast-paced administrative world. Hosted by Employee and Organizational Development, the seminar provides networking opportunities and the chance to evaluate personal and career goals.
UT Knoxville is implementing programs to improve leadership and management processes within the university’s departments. The Leading at UT: Part 2 Certification training program recently graduated 15 managers and supervisors from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Facilities Services and Housing, among other university departments.
