UT employees interested in advancing their skills in customer service are invited to complete the Employee and Organizational Development Customer Service Certification. The certification is open to employees at all levels in the university and provides training in a variety of service-related topics.

In a survey of recent graduates of the certification program, participants reported improved attitudes and an increased knowledge base.

The certification process begins with the prerequisite course Customer Service 101, which will be offered from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, and Thursday, October 25, at the UT Conference Center. This course provides an overview of the certification and identifies how employees contribute to customer service regardless of the positions they hold. Participants will assess their customer service levels and review the “Fantastic Service Equation.”

The certification process is made up of eleven courses, including the prerequisite course. All courses are free to employees, though registration is required. To register for Customer Service 101, click here.
