A record-breaking number of UT students have been selected for the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study or intern abroad during summer 2019.
Nick Giecek graduates in May with a master’s degree in recreation and sport management with a concentration in therapeutic recreation. After graduation, Giecek will take his leadership skills to Atlanta, where he will work as an adaptive sports specialist at the Shepherd Center.
Moore, a native of Dallas, Georgia, will receive a law degree during spring commencement at noon Friday, May 10, and soon after will join the Navy as a JAG Corps officer.
Karlie Jeffers’s idea of business casual: waders and snorkeling gear or hiking boots. Jeffers will graduate on May 9 from the Hebert College of Agriculture with a major in wildlife and fisheries.
