Faculty Appreciation Week will be held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from Feb. 25 to March 2. The week celebrates UT faculty, their work and the ways in which they represent the Volunteer spirit.
The week commences with a special ticket promotion by Tennessee Athletics for UT faculty to attend the Lady Vols’ basketball game with Louisiana State University on Feb. 25. Tipoff is at noon at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. Faculty can purchase packages for themselves and their guests that include a ticket to the game and an $8 concessions voucher for only $15 (plus taxes and fees). The promotion ends at noon on Feb. 23.
Throughout the week, faculty can receive 30% off purchases of gift and apparel items at the VolShop. For online purchases, faculty can log in to the VolShop website with their NetID and the discount will be applied.
The Division of Student Success is offering faculty a free specialty espresso beverage, drip coffee or tea at any campus Starbucks or Einstein’s location on Feb. 28, with a limit of one redemption per faculty member. On Feb. 29, faculty can enjoy a free medium drip coffee or hot tea at Vol Dining POD Markets across campus. Faculty are asked to present their UT faculty ID when redeeming these offers.
The commemoration includes several special events. Faculty planning to attend any of these events must register by Feb. 19.
