UT System Interim President Randy Boyd announced today that he is appointing a task force to help implement a new 12-week family leave policy. Boyd said the goal is to have a new policy in place by July 1.
The announcement comes after Governor Bill Lee’s executive order that provides 12 weeks of paid family leave for state employees. Although that order did not affect higher education employees, the UT System had already been considering a new parental leave policy.
