New Family Leave Policy Announced
UT System Interim President Randy Boyd announced today that he is appointing a task force to help implement a new 12-week parental leave policy. Boyd said the goal is to have a new policy in place by July 1.
Employees Inspire Organ Donation Policy
Two employees whose lives have been changed by organ donation joined Chancellor Donde Plowman and UT System Interim President Randy Boyd as Boyd signed the new Laura McGinnis Policy on Organ Donation.
UT Student Entrepreneurs Selected for National Pitch Competition
Two University of Tennessee, Knoxville, student startups were named to the national Student Startup Madness (SSM) pitch competition. Andy’s Beekeeping was selected for the competition’s semifinal round. Digital publication Abled Magazine was named in the competition’s initial round. Both companies were chosen from applicants representing 54 universities and colleges nationwide.
