To celebrate the beginning of the fall semester, the UT Farmers Market will feature special events and giveaways during the weekly market from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17. The market will begin with UT’s mascot, Smokey, ringing the bell to open market sales. Door prizes will be given to the first twenty-five students with UT IDs and a free yoga class will be held at 5:45 p.m. All patrons are invited to enter to win prizes at the information booth from Riversports, Barre Belle Yoga and Fitness, Bluetique, and Lonesome Dove.
The farmers market is held within UT Gardens every Wednesday evening from May to October. Working to provide the Knoxville and UT community with healthy, local food, the market features more than fifteen vendors providing produce, baked goods, pottery, plants, prepared food, and beauty products.
