UTPD Chief and Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Safety Troy Lane is featured in a special edition of USA Today. In the article, titled Operation Desert Storm 25 Years Later, Chief Lane reflects on his service in the Gulf War.
Chief Lane started his career as a military police officer in 1988 and was deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1990. After being honorably discharged in late 1991, he went into law enforcement, which ultimately led to pursuing a career in campus police departments.
