Jeff Fairbrother, head of the Department of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sports Studies has been named interim associate dean of academic and faculty affairs for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.
Dixie Thompson, former associate dean of research and academic affairs, begins serving as vice provost and dean of the Graduate School on April 1.
“Jeff has served faithfully as department head for the past four years,” said Dean Bob Rider. “He possesses the experience, leadership skills, and disposition for assuming the responsibilities of this position.”
David Bassett, director of the Applied Physiology Laboratory and professor of kinesiology, recreation, and sports studies, will serve as interim department head.
