Joshua DobbsAs part of a preview series on the upcoming 2014 season, has done a series of “14 for 14” profiles.

The section on the smartest players in college football features a look at UT quarterback Joshua Dobbs, a sophomore from Alpharetta, Georgia, majoring in aerospace engineering.

His studies are important enough to Dobbs that during his recruitment he made it known that one of the factors in his decision would be whether or not the school offered aerospace engineering as a major.

In describing Dobbs, writer Bryan Fischer says, “He started four games under center for the Vols last year as a true freshman, but still managed to keep his grades up.”
