Andy Powers has been named UT Facilities Services’ new director of design services. A 1982 UT graduate, Powers has worked for a number of local Knoxville design firms, and much of his career as an architect has been focused on UT projects.
Fencing soon will be placed around the staircase between the Burchfiel and Austin Peay buildings on the Hill. The closure is in advance of removing and replacing the old staircase at the site where the new pedestrian bridge will connect to the Hill.
