Electrical utility work this weekend will close one lane of traffic each way on Volunteer Boulevard between Hodges Library and the Tyson Alumni House.
The work will start Friday evening and is scheduled to be completed by early Monday morning, July 25.
Melrose Avenue between Hodges Library and the Tyson Alumni House may briefly close during the construction, but traffic will be detoured through the adjacent parking area during any closures.
Work will soon begin on a new electrical vault in the gravel Staff 28 lot west of the Black Cultural Center on Melrose Avenue, but traffic will be open during construction.
