The university is preparing for the fall semester and the beginning of classes on Wednesday, August 23. Next week UT welcomes approximately 7,400 new and returning students to our residence halls. Students begin moving into residence halls beginning Sunday, August 13.

Starting this Wednesday and continuing for the next two weeks, traffic will be slow along a section of Volunteer Boulevard in front of Hodges Library, the pedestrian walkway, and Claxton Education Building.
Road paving operations in the Fort Sanders neighborhood will begin Wednesday, May 30. The work will take approximately two weeks to complete. During this time, all vehicles that are parked on the affected city streets will be towed. By the end of the week, parking meters along Phillip Fulmer Way should be gone and work started to convert most of those spaces to commuter parking. The university has taken ownership of Phillip Fulmer Way, Peyton Manning Pass and Tee Martin Drive. The streets previously were owned by the city of Knoxville.

A section of traffic lanes on the eastbound side of Neyland Drive near the University of Tennessee will be shifted away from the Tennessee River beginning Wednesday, December 14.
Estabrook Road is now open and will remain open through Sunday, November 20. Due to complications and inclement weather, the contractor was not able to complete the paving project. Work has ceased temporarily to ensure the road is open for the football game on Saturday.

From new academic buildings to improved services, the UT community will be a part of opening many new and renovated facilities over this new academic year.
Electrical utility work this weekend will close one lane of traffic each way on Volunteer Boulevard between Hodges Library and the Tyson Alumni House. The work will start Friday evening and is scheduled to be completed by early Monday morning, July 25.
Traffic lanes on Lake Loudoun Boulevard between Neyland Drive and Phillip Fulmer Way will be closed beginning today through Monday, August 1. One lane northbound and one lane southbound on Lake Loudoun Boulevard will be closed while utility workers upgrade street lights.
