“Bend It Like Beckham,” a film about a girl from an orthodox Sikh family who wishes to play soccer, will be the featured film at Intercultural Intersections at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, in the Hodges Library Auditorium at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Several faculty members have been recognized with the National Alumni Association’s Outstanding Teacher Award in advance of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s 2008 Chancellor’s Honors Banquet, scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 9, on campus. The Outstanding Teacher Award recognizes excellence in the classroom.
