A University of Tennessee English professor, known for his extensive research on Knoxville-born author James Agee, has been elected to a leadership role in the International Federation of Modern Languages and Literature (FILLM).
The University of Tennessee Film Committee and Women’s Coordinating Council will present “Sofia Coppola, A Director’s Series” in Clarence Brown Theatre Feb. 12. Two films–“The Virgin Suicides” and “Lost In Translation”–will be shown at 7 and 9:30 p.m. respectively. Admission is free for students, faculty and staff with a valid UT ID.
The number of jobs in Tennessee will grow, personal income will increase and the state’s unemployment rate will edge down in the next few years.
