The Run for Rocky Top, scheduled for October 16–18, will bring together alumni, donors, students, parents, and friends of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, to participate in a new virtual event created for Volunteers to show their Big Orange spirit while also giving to student scholarships.

Run for Rocky Top, created by the Office of Alumni Affairs, allows Vols to run or walk any distance at any location across the country.

“While we won’t be able to gather together to run or walk in a traditional format, we are excited to bring the Run for Rocky Top event to the homes of our alumni, donors, and friends,” said Chip Bryant, vice chancellor for advancement. “With proceeds benefiting student scholarships, participants are making a big impact on the lives of our students as they walk, run, or cheer on their friends and family.”

Individual, family, and spectator options are available. Little Vols—17 and under—are free in the family package option.

Adult participants will receive a medal, socks, and a customizable bib and finisher certificate. Children will receive a bead medallion and a customizable bib and finisher certificate. An add-on T-shirt is available for purchase.
