Katrice J. Morgan has joined the Office of Equity and Diversity as the associate director of equity and diversity. She has been the assistant dean for student affairs and director of diversity and inclusion in the College of Law since 2007.
Morgan’s experience with the university began in 1999 when she took a position with the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Services. From there, she went to the Knox County District Attorney’s office where she worked for six years as a prosecutor.
“Katrice’s knowledge and experience with so many campus constituencies make her an exceptional addition to the Office of Equity and Diversity. With a portfolio that will involve the campus search process, diversity efforts and compliance, and issue resolution, Katrice will be a key contact and resource for Knoxville area units,” said Associate Vice Chancellor Jenny Richter. “It’s not often that you find a candidate who can step seamlessly into the issues of the moment.”
