The Greene County Heritage Trust hosted UT history professor Daniel Feller at their annual Christmas meeting in early December, as stated by the Greeneville Sun. Former President Andrew Jackson was a familiar figure in Greeneville where he was a practicing attorney.
The guests heard Feller’s insights on the life of Jackson, replete with political intrigue and personal drama.
Feller is editor of The Papers of Andrew Jackson, a project housed at UT that aims to collect and publish the seventh president’s entire extant literary record.
