The Center for Student Engagement offers advisement and support for nearly 500 student organizations and is now offering advisors help via online training modules. The training modules are available for student organization advisors in Canvas to gain more resources, feel more comfortable and confident advising a student organization, and engage with other student organization advisors.
There are 10 training modules:
- Advisor Essentials
- Group Development
- Mentoring
- VOLink
- Supporting Student Leaders (A), Counseling & Referrals
- Supporting Student Leaders (B), Inclusive Practices
- Hazing
- How to Plan Events and Support Students in Event Planning
- Officer Transition
- Fundraising
- Student Organization Business Office and Funding for Student Organizations
It should take approximately one hour to complete the modules. While completing the training, if at any point you need to stop and return to it later, you are able to do so.
