Looking for something new to do this Saturday? Join UT’s Department of Physics and Astronomy for their second lecture in a new series, “Saturday Morning Physics.” Professor Yuri Kamyshkov will present his lecture “Where is Antimatter in the Universe?”
Kamyshkov will discuss one of the biggest unanswered questions in Nature: where is antimatter in the universe? The Big Bang mechanism produced equal amounts of matter and antimatter during the first second of creation. However, 14 billion years later, our universe only consists of matter.
The lecture will be held from 10 to 11:15 a.m. with questions and discussion from 11:15 to noon this Saturday, February 11, at 307 Science and Engineering Research Facility (SERF), 1499 Circle Drive. Limited parking will be available in the 11th Street Garage.
