The campus community is invited to attend the inaugural Transfer Symposium, designed to provide campus units and academic departments with information about UT’s transfer students.
The event, which includes lunch, will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, in the Panhellenic Building.
The keynote speaker will be Jane Rex, director of Appalachian State University’s Office of Transfer Student Services, who will discuss national trends in transfer student profiles and help participants understand how to support transfer students as they transition to UT’s academic and social environment. Breakout sessions will help participants learn more about transfer students’ needs at UT.
A panel of UT transfer students will give participants the opportunity to hear firsthand about the transfer student experience at UT.
