UT’s McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture is hosting free Spanish-language tours in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month.

The tours will be held at 2:00 p.m. September 25 and October 2, and will feature the museum’s special exhibition Knoxville Unearthed: Archaeology in the Heart of the Valley. Each tour will last one hour and will include a general introduction to the museum’s history and its permanent collection. Interested visitors should meet at 2:00 p.m. in the museum lobby.

The family-friendly tours will be led by Assistant Educator Leslie Chang-Jantz. They are free and open to the public.

The museum plans to offer additional Spanish-language tours in the future. Spanish-language tours for groups of ten people or more may be arranged by calling the museum at 865-974-2144.

The McClung Museum is located at 1327 Circle Park Drive. Museum admission is free, and the museum’s hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Free parking is available on the weekends. Free public transportation to the museum is available via the Knoxville Trolley Vol Line.
