The Knoxville Mercury highlighted this year’s lineup for Public Cinema, a series showing recent independent movies from around the world. UT’s Paul Harrill and Darren Hughes launched the Public Cinema a year ago. The fall program features fourteen movies scheduled between August and December at the Knoxville Museum of Art, Scruffy City Hall, Pilot Light and the UT’s Art and Architecture Building.

Harrill is a UT professor of cinema studies and he is based in the School of Art. Hughes is the UT director of online engagement.
