GizmodoScience Daily, and Phys.org recently featured a study co-authored by Kristen Savell, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Anthropology.

For over sixty years, scientists have theorized that a person’s body shape and size could be influenced by the climate of where they live. Savell’s study suggests there’s more to the equation. The paper is among the first to document how evolutionary selection has shaped variation in human limbs across the globe.
