Wendy Tate, associate professor of supply chain management at UT’s Haslam College of Business, was recently named co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.

“The journal has an increasingly upward trajectory in its impact factor and our intent is to continue with that trajectory,” said Tate, who shares her editorship with Louise Knight, a senior lecturer at Aston University in Birmingham, England.

Tate and Knight are broadening the research base of the publication and also promoting international submissions.

“We have already appointed a number of new associate editors with expertise in purchasing, while retaining the existing associate editors. We have compiled a high-quality team, which will help our efforts.”

The journal aligns with Tate’s research focus on purchasing and integrated supply chains.
