What differentiates UT Knoxville from other universities?

What has UT accomplished since 2010? What are the largest challenges and constraints that lie ahead?

Members of the Milestone Review Committee want to hear your answers to these questions as part of the process for refreshing UT Knoxville’s Vol Vision strategic plan.

The final forum is from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, in Hodges Library Room 605.

The committee will continue to solicit feedback about the working draft through mid-December. Download a copy of the draft.

You are encouraged to share your thoughts via the Vol Vision 2020 website.

You can also share your views with committee chair Steve Smith, dean of libraries, via e-mail at stevesmith@utk.edu or by contacting any of the Milestone Review Committee members.

This fall Smith and Serena Matsunaga, staff consult with the Office of the Provost, have engaged with more than a thousand people through over thirty meetings and three open forums for the campus. They have heard and logged the thoughts of faculty and staff members, students, alumni, and parents.

The goal is to present the final Vol Vision 2020 plan to Provost Susan Martin by February.

“Our university has made great improvements during the past five years and we’ve done it by working together,” Smith said. “I hope you’ll share your views about the next phase of our journey.”
