Student Conduct and Community Standards is recruiting members for its 2016 Student Disciplinary Board and Greek Judicial Board, which are still currently operating under the existing code of conduct. The Student Disciplinary and Greek Judicial Boards hear cases about students or student organizations and violation(s) of the university’s Standards of Conduct, as defined in Hilltopics (pgs. 78-82). The Standards of Conduct cover a wide range of misconduct, including but not limited to: theft, plagiarism, assault, impermissible alcohol use, and illegal drug use. Members of these Boards are charged with deciding whether the student or organization is responsible for the Standard of Conduct violation and the appropriate penalty for the violation.

Serving in this role provides students a great opportunity to develop transferable leadership skills in critical and reflective thinking, civility, communication, reasoning, upholding student rights, and creating a safer and more secure campus for students and student organizations.

The application can be found on the Student Conduct website. Submissions are due to Student Conduct by email or hard copy version by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10.  If you have any questions about the application process or the positions, email their office.
