A number of streets around the UT campus and the Fort Sanders area will be repaired and repaved within the next two weeks, necessitating some lane closures and lane shifts.

Following are the streets due for work and the dates when that work is scheduled. Dates could change, but weather permitting, the work should be complete by August 16.

On campus:

  • Volunteer Boulevard from Andy Holt Avenue to Cumberland Avenue—Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and traffic patterns will be shifted during work scheduled for August 1 through August 11.
  • Terrace Avenue from Volunteer Boulevard to Lake Avenue—This stretch will undergo milling on August 3 and resurfacing on August 4.
  • Cumberland Avenue from Sixteenth Street to Seventeenth Street—The outside westbound lane will undergo a full-depth repair and one spot on the outside eastbound lane will be repaired August 12 through August 16.

In Fort Sanders:

  • Bridge Avenue from Twelfth Street to Thirteenth Street—This stretch will undergo milling on August 8 and resurfacing on August 12.
  • Clinch Avenue from Eleventh Street to Fourteenth Street—This stretch will undergo milling on August 8 and resurfacing on August 12.
  • Forest Avenue from Thirteenth Street to East End —This stretch will undergo milling on August 8 and resurfacing on August 12.
  • White Avenue from James Agee Street to Eleventh Street—This stretch will undergo milling on August 10 and resurfacing on August 13.
  • Dale Avenue from I-40 ramp to Western Avenue—This stretch will undergo milling on August 4 and resurfacing on August 6.
  • Tudor Street from Blackstock Avenue to Dale Avenue—This stretch will undergo milling on August 4 and resurfacing on August 6.
