If things go his way, UT engineering student Nathan Powell might get to intern on a Formula One race team.

Powell, a senior in mechanical engineering, is one of a few lucky people chosen to audition for the role at Nissan’s headquarters in Franklin, Tenn., according to The Tennessean.

Powell was just one of twelve engineering students nationwide who were chosen to design a test track for Nissan, which was then tested by a remote-control vehicle.

The winner will get to work on the next on the next Infiniti Red Bull Formula 1 race car.

Powell told the paper that “Working in these competitive groups, there’s not any other opportunities like that” and that he had learned that “Sometimes what you need to do is listen to everybody’s input and make a decision from there.”
