Mark_DadmunA UT expert in polymers has been named a 2015 fellow of the American Chemical Society.

Mark Dadmun, professor of chemistry, joins a list of seventy-eight distinguished academics who have made significant contributions to science and their profession. The fellows will be celebrated at the society’s national meeting in Boston in August.

Dadmun has a joint faculty appointment at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Chemical Science Division. He is founding director of the Soft Materials Research in Tennessee (SMART) Center.

He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts. His honors include a National Research Council Post-doctoral Fellowship, which he completed at the National Institute of Standards and Technology working with Charles Han.
