New detours have been placed to help pedestrians move around a new steam line construction project on Circle Drive on the Hill.

The sidewalk in front of Dabney-Buehler Hall has been closed off to pedestrians for the duration of the project, which is slated to be complete by August 14.

Pedestrians are asked to follow detour signs in the area and avoid walking in the roadway. The road is open to traffic during the project.

In addition, several temporary handicap parking spaces have been added on Circle Drive, near the accessible entrance on the west side of Dabney-Buehler.

Once the Eleventh Street pedestrian bridge reopens July 27, the temporary spots will be removed. The accessible pathway will then run from the parking garage, over the pedestrian bridge, and along the sidewalk to Dabney-Buehler.
