Carly Harrington of the News Sentinel details the university’s state of construction projects in a recent article for the newspaper. In the piece, Dave Irvin, associate vice chancellor for facilities services says of the $1 billion campus makeover, “It’s unprecedented. UT has never had this much construction, and very few places are doing what the university is doing right now.” Current projects include the science and laboratory facility at the Strong Hall site, a classroom and lab space at Cumberland Avenue and Sixteenth Street, and housing and dining structures.
