The university will be celebrating its status as an engaged institution throughout the coming year by featuring these individual examples in articles that highlight their unique contribution to the community.
Partnering to Improve History Teaching in East Tennessee
History department faculty at the University of Tennessee collaborate with public school teachers and administrators in the East Tennessee region to provide content enrichment for the teaching of history. Through class visits, teaching workshops, field trips, and collaboration with the East Tennessee Historical Society on National History Day, faculty provide content enrichment for history teachers, along with shared, mutually beneficial discussions about teaching methods.
