Jeff PappasJeff Pappas, director of the School of Music, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Schools of Music. He will serve a two-year term as the chair of Region Eight.

The National Association of Schools of Music is an organization of schools, conservatories, colleges, and universities with about 650 accredited members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees. It also covers postsecondary non-degree-granting schools of music.

The organization, founded in 1924, provides information to the public, produces statistical research, offers professional development for leaders of music schools, and engages in policy analysis.
