Since the fall of 2009, the Homer A. Jones Jr. Wills Clinic at the UT College of Law has been providing estate planning services to East Tennesseans of modest means. Students, under the supervision of Visiting Professor Barbara Johnson, an experienced estate planner, prepare wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and other estate planning documents free of charge for clients who meet certain financial and other guidelines. They also handle some probate matters and conservatorships.
As time permits, the clinic will accept as clients members of the nonexempt staff of the university who meet all the guidelines.
