Architecture and Design
Design Matters Camp

Location: Art and Architecture Building

Offers high school students an introduction to the design of the built environment and the considerations that shape it. The setting, curriculum, and instruction also provide the opportunity to experience life as a design student on a university campus for one week. McClung Museum Camps
Archaeokids: Exploring Ancient Art and Archaeology
Dates: June 23–27

Location: McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture
Cost: $110 per child; $99 per child for museum members
Campers will explore archaeology, artifacts, ancient art, and technology, including the culture of ancient Egyptians and ancient Native Americans. Activities include making pottery and jewelry, hunting with a spear thrower, making a mummy mask, and learning basic archaeology. All materials and a snack are included.

Dig it! Fun with Fossils
Dates: July 14–19

Location: McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture
Cost: $110 per child; $99 per child for museum members
Campers will learn about dinosaurs, woolly mammoths, mosasaurs, and other extinct animals in the field of paleontology. Activities include handling and examining real fossils, including bones, teeth, tracks, and dinosaur eggshell; making molds and casts; and excavating. All materials and a snack are included.

Clarence Brown Theatre Summer Acting Workshop
