The Office of Communications and Marketing recently won several awards, including a top award, in local and regional advertising, communications, and marketing competitions.

The Knoxville chapter of the American Advertising Federation gave UT a Silver Addy for a video promoting the university’s new One Stop Express Student Services. One Stop has streamlined how students manage their most common enrollment, registration, financial aid, and payment transactions.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) awarded UT two awards at its District III conference.

UT received a CASE Grand Prize, the top award in its category, for its campaign to promote the T transit system. The T relaunched with a new fleet of buses last fall after a new private vendor began operating the system. UT also won a Special Merit award for its primary identity video, “Big Orange. Big Ideas: Unique and Creative Minds.”

The Addy awards were given out February 15 and the CASE awards were announced at the organization’s regional conference February 18 in Orlando, Florida. More than 3,500 higher education institutions and professional organizations are members of CASE District III, which covers the southeastern United States and includes some of the top schools in the nation.
