The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture will offer a free family fun day celebrating winter and the holidays on Saturday, December 21.

The 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. event will take place in The Decorative Experience, the museum’s gallery featuring works of art from around the world.

The family activity day will include a show-and-tell using objects from the museum’s collection and celebrations around the world. Children also will make holiday ornaments and paper lanterns to celebrate the holidays and the winter solstice.

All materials will be provided. The program is free and open to the public. Reservations are not necessary.

The McClung Museum is located at 1327 Circle Park Drive. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

On weekends, free parking is available on Circle Park Drive on a first come, first serve basis. Additional parking information is available online.
