Howard Hall, UT-ORNL Governor’s Chair for nuclear security, and several South Korean students studying at UT were interviewed by the Knoxville News Sentinel about North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. Hall said the chances of an attack by North Korean on U.S. soil are slim. “I think there is no credible threat that North Korea can pose to the U.S. homelands,” Hall said in the article. “I don’t think there’s anything that they have in their arsenal that is a credible threat. But they certainly can pose a threat to our interests in the Asian region.”
