From the spooky to the tasty, there are several opportunities to enjoy some Big Orange Halloween fun across campus. All events are open to the public.
Friday, October 26
Zombie Run 5K, 6:00 p.m., beginning and ending at the Pedestrian Walkway. Sponsored by Clinic Vols, a volunteer student organization benefiting inner-city elementary school health clinics in Knoxville, the race will include a variety of activities including a costume contest. The cost is $20 for students, $25 for non-student adults, and $18 for children. Teams may register for $18. Proceeds benefit Clinic Vols and the American Red Cross Knox Chapter.
Saturday, October 27
Trick or Trees, noon to 4:00 p.m. at the UT Gardens on Neyland Drive. Families are invited to come in costume, hike through the gardens, and enjoy trick-or-treating at five different activity stations. Learn about bats, spiders, and other creepy crawlies, and make a few ghoulish crafts to take home. The cost is $6 per child.
Rocky Horror Picture Show, 11:00 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom. Enjoy the interactive viewing experience—always a Halloween favorite. Free to UT students with UT ID, and $1 for the public.
Monday, October 29
United Residence Halls Council Trunk or Treat, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Circle Park on Volunteer Boulevard. This safe and fun trick-or-treating alternative is free and open to everyone. The event features food, crafts, and games.
Reese Hall Haunted House, 7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. at Reese Hall, 1910 Caledonia Avenue. The haunted house will be open Monday and Tuesday, October 29 and 30. The cost is $3 and all proceeds benefit Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.
