KNOXVILLE—Jef7rey Hildner, who is known as the “architect-painter,” will visit the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Wednesday, March 7.

Hildner, whose name does include the number “7,” will deliver a 6:00 p.m. lecture at the Art and Architecture Building, Room 111.

He will then lead a three-day, design-build project with students of the College of Architecture and Design. The final outcome will be displayed at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9, in the Art and Architecture Building’s atrium.

This presentation will be held in conjunction with events scheduled that evening, including the MAX_minimum Design Competition Awards Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. and the sixty-fifth annual student art competition at 7:00 p.m.

All activities are free and open to the public.

The activities are being held as part of the Annual All-College Spring Thing, a weeklong event where the various departments within the College of Architecture and Design come together to collaborate, discuss, and learn about design. Other activities are scheduled throughout the week, including the Interior Design Showcase at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, in the Art and Architecture Building, Room 103.
