The University of Tennessee is now at 95.8 percent of its 2011-12 Campus Chest goal. The campaign has been extended for one final week to provide additional opportunities for employees to make pledges or one-time donations.

This year’s Knoxville-area campaign goal is $590,000. More than $565,000 has been pledged or collected from the UT Knoxville campus, UT Institute of Agriculture, Institute for Public Service, UT system, students, and retired personnel in the Knoxville area.

All employees who want to pledge through their monthly payroll deduction should turn their pledge cards in by Thursday, November 16.

For twenty years, the UT Campus Chest campaign has met or exceeded its goal consistently, providing hundreds of thousands of dollars to the East Tennessee community. During tough economic times, our contributions become even more important for social- and health-related nonprofit agencies of Community Shares, the Greater Knoxville United Way, and many others organizations.

If you have not yet turned in your card, please see your department representative for more information. Employees can make a one-time donation or pledge through payroll deduction. Any amount is appreciated and will help provide services for the area’s less fortunate individuals and families.
