Summer is quickly coming to a close, and one of UT’s newest events is just around the corner. The 2010 Fall Young Alumni Weekend is set for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3 – 4. The event promises to be a fun weekend of food, tailgating, football and catching up with old and new friends on Rocky Top as you cheer the Vols in their season opener against the UT Martin Skyhawks.

The complete itinerary and package costs for the weekend are below. Prices do not include football game tickets.

Friday, Sept. 3

Big Orange Evening at the UT Gardens — Enjoy a scenic evening with “Voice of the Vols” Bob Kesling; Tim Priest, VOL Network Football Analyst; and Andre Lott, former Volunteer and NFL player and new coordinator of UT Football Vol for Life program. Catering by Famous Dave’s.

6:30 p.m. Reception and Open Bar

7 p.m. Dinner and Program

$25 per person; included in the full weekend package for $35.

Saturday, Sept. 4

3 – 5 p.m. Young Alumni Tailgate Party at Tyson Alumni House – Come ready to sing Rocky Top and enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages before the football game.

$15 per person; included in the full weekend package for $35.

6 p.m. The Vols kick off against UT Martin at 6 p.m. at Neyland Stadium.

The option to purchase football tickets will be made available via e-mail after you complete registration for the weekend. Tickets will be $40 each plus handling fees.
