In this WATE-TV video feature and article, UT Knoxville anthropology professor and crisis and risk expert Gregory Button discusses environmental and social impacts of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Button acts as an informal adviser to Senate committees investigating the spill, and has studied other disasters including the Exxon-Valdez oil spill and Hurricane Katrina.
