KNOXVILLE — Alumni and friends of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, are invited to campus on Nov. 20 for an Alumni College day of learning about Tennessee history.
Sponsored by the UT Office of Alumni Affairs Lifelong Learning Program, the Alumni College will feature four speakers between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The day’s activities will be held in the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy, 1640 Cumberland Ave.
Cost for attending is $40 per person and includes coffee, lunch and parking.

Featured speakers and their presentations are:
- Bruce Wheeler, director emeritus of UT’s Chancellor’s Honors Program and history professor emeritus, “UT”s Greatest President: A Look at the Past and Message for the Future.”
- Ed Caudill, professor of journalism and electronic media, “Nathan Bedford Forrest: ‘Devil’ or Military Genius?”
- Dan Feller, history professor and director of the Andrew Jackson Papers Project, “The Andrew Jackson Papers Project.”
- Jack Neely, author and Metro Pulse columnist, “Market Square: ‘The Most Democratic Place on Earth.'”
