The University of Tennessee Athletic Departments have announced the launch of UTTix.com, a comprehensive Web site that serves as a one-stop shop for UT Vol and Lady Vol tickets.

“This Web site will continue to give fans the opportunity to purchase tickets 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Chris Fuller, senior associate athletic director for external operations. “It will also provide up-to-date ticket availability that we hope will make our fans’ customer service experience an enjoyable one.”

Tickets available on UTTix.com currently include football, women’s soccer and men’s basketball season ticket renewals. UTTix.com will rotate tickets available online based on the season.

Tennessee Athletics is using new communications platforms to provide fans with up-to-date and inside information on the Vols. UT coaches and administrators are capitalizing on the social media Web sites Facebook and Twitter. Tennessee Athletics and coaches can be followed through their individual accounts on these sites.

“Social media networks make Tennessee Athletics more accessible to fans,” Men’s Athletic Director Mike Hamilton said. “The added excitement surrounding Tennessee that these sites have created has been tremendous.” Follow Mike Hamilton on Twitter at “@utadmike.”

Twitter and Facebook both provide continuous updates, and the Tennessee Athletics Facebook fan page boasts numerous applications for fans from wall posts, polls, photos and video content to special offers and giveaways, while also giving fans a chance to discuss Vol or Lady Vol-related topics. This page offers weekly specials from the Tennessee Traditions store and prizes will be given away each time a milestone number of fans is reached on the page including a chance to win a sideline pass for the Oct. 10 home game against Georgia.
