Interested in going to the Blue Cross Healthy Living Expo? Friday, Jan. 23 is Volunteer Day at the expo and UT faculty, staff and students will be able to attend free with the complimentary ticket below. With over 200 exhibits on health, fitness, nutrition and safety, it’s the largest health and fitness expo in Tennessee. Don’t forget your UT ID, which makes you eligible to win prizes!

Free admittance is allotted to anyone with the ticket below. You must have your UT ID to be eligible to win the prize drawing: a Wii Game Console. The drawing will be held 4:30 p.m. from the Cooking Stage.

Health Living Expo Volunteer Day Ticket

 

The expo features the BlueCross Walking Track, a 1/4 mile "track" that circles around the exhibit booths. Two "walks" — one at noon and the other at 2 p.m. — will take place. All Volunteers are invited to walk. Two drawings will be held to win 6 month memberships to the Rush Fitness Facility for the walk participants. A pedometer will be provided by BlueCross for everyone that participates, while supplies last.

Activities will be taking place at the Cooking Stage throughout the day. Learn how to prepare healthy meals, taste samples and win prizes while in the audience. The line-up includes:

1 p.m. – Chef Antun, Director of UT Culinary Institute
2 p.m. – WVLT Channel 8 presents Chef Walter Lambert
3 p.m. – Earth Fare Corporate Chef
4 p.m. – Women’s Way Weight Management featuring Siri Khasal Zemel
4:30 p.m. – Drawing for Wii for UT visitors
