Margaret ‘Peggy’ Gripshover, adjunct associate professor and lecturer in the Department of Geography, won the inaugural Excellence in Teaching Award in the ten-state Southeastern Division of the Association of American Geographers.

UT Knoxville has more new AAAS Fellows than any other college or university in the Southeast, and trailed only Ohio State, the University of California system and the University of Illinois
A grand opening celebration will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, for the new James A. Haslam II Business Building. The next day, the building will open for spring semester classes.
