A reception today from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Hodges Library honors faculty who have recently published books. The event is sponsored by the Office of Research and the University Libraries. Faculty books will be on display at the reception.
The list of authors and publications is growing. So far, the library has collected 120 authors and 160 books.
The topics of books range from the very technical to lighter fare. A professor in theory and practice in teacher education wrote a book on reading. An associate professor in anthropology wrote about climate change in the Mid-Holocene epoch. An accounting professor wrote a textbook about taxes. A creative writing professor wrote a book of poems and a children’s book. An English professor rewrote one of America’s classic novels.
