What happens when Knoxville’s newest TV channel, one of the city’s most respected radio stations and local musician Todd Steed get together? You get East Tennessee’s brand-new home for local music: "Studio 865."
The show, to be aired on UTTV (Comcast Digital 194, UT Campus Cable 65) and WUOT 91.9 FM radio, is hosted by Steed, who will ask outstanding local musicians to play their music and talk about their art.
Debuting at 8 p.m., this Wednesday, March 5, on both UTTV and WUOT, the first episode features noted singer-songwriter Scott Miller. The television show airs weekly at the following times: Wednesdays, 8 p.m.; Thursdays, 7 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 8 p.m.
Radio broadcasts of "Studio 865" are at 8 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. WUOT will follow the show with an additional half-hour program called "The Flip Side," in which artists who will be featured on future episodes choose some of their favorite musicians and albums to share while conversing with Steed. The first guest on "The Flip Side" will be Knoxville music icon R.B. Morris.
